Onyx sat on the base of the stair well, her head on her hand, carefully balancing the weight, she sighed. Rosalie could make so much goddamn noise! Rosalie knew Onyx could hear her too. So what? So I am not dating anyone! Big whoop!" she thought, standing up, with a scowl on her face. Looking around for anyone for help, maybe Alice....

Alice was skipping around the house, delighted. I get to plan a wedding! What am I going to do!!!!" She thought. She put her mind on the wedding, and would not let it wander. When it meandered, it went to Jasper.... and Leah. She looked ahead (just a bit so she avoided Jasper) and saw Onyx looking for her. She bounced up the steps to her adopted sister.

Onyx saw Alice bouncing up the stairs like an excited toddler, she smiled, "Hey Alice, maybe you should make weddings for a living! You seem to love it so much..." She loved Alice like she was her real sister, and she was closest to Alice out of the whole family.

"That would definitely be great!" Alice called, her voice a musical bell. Alice really loved Onyx, but she didn't know if she had any favorites. She really liked Jasper, and Bella and Edward too.

(of course she likes Jasper! XD)
Onyx smiled, standing up, "Alice, it would be an honer if you would let me help you out with the wedding." She said, feeling a tad silly.

Why did Jasper get the feeling that Alice was avoiding him? He couldn't even blame it on lover's paranoia - he could sense the feelings in the room and whenever she was near she seemed on edge, distracted, worried... He didn't want to confront her, but edging into his mind was a fear of losing her, because he had never known her be like this before and it worried him. Whatever was wrong, he would much rather be talking about it with her than having her hide her feelings from him like this. Sometimes he envied Edward's power: it would have made his life less troublesome at the moment.
He saw Onyx and Alice and made his way over to them, hoping that if Alice had someone else's company to concentrate on, it might make it easier for her to deal with his at the same time. He didn't mind the newest addition to the Cullen coven, either, although he did wonder if perhaps this might be one of those conversations that wouldn't be wonderfully well suited to him. Which was why he stood, statuesque but attentive, a short distance away from them, assessing the mood of their conversation without feeling any urgent need to contribute to it.

Onyx was well aware of Jasper looming in the distance, she wanted to say something, but didn't want to sound cold, too late though, Rosalie started down the stairs. "Pff." She muttered, glaring at Onyx with fury in her gorgeous eyes. At that moment, Onyx wanted to flutter away into dust, and she really could...

((Rosalie reads minds.... ??)
Alice noticed Jasper. She took a deep breath, but being a vampire, it didn't help much. "Oh, Onyx, I would be delighted if you helped me!" She exclaimed, "Hello Jasper." She muttered quietly.

(no...)
A smile spread across Onyx's face, Thanks!" she exclaimed, feeling instantly better. She noticed the look on Alice's face, and opened a space for her to get out of it if she wanted to, "Do you want to go work on it a tad right now?' She asked, giving Alice a look that said, I wont be sad if you don't, but it is if you don't want to talk to Jasper right now...

"Hello Alice." The reply was edgy, uncomfortable. He wasn't used to having her talk to him that way, and he didn't like it at all. He wanted to be there for her, to be the one person she always felt like she could talk to and confide in, but instead he seemed to be the one person she didn't want to be around. It hurt; and what hurt even more was the feeling of helplessness that stalked him. He wished he could find a way to make things better between them. But he couldn't do that until she opened up to him and gave him something to work with. Unfortunately, anything that was causing this much tension between them might not be easy to talk about. When Onyx invited Alice away, he didn't say anything, but his eyes narrowed slightly in visible discontent.

Alice sighed. "Let's work on it now!" She exclaimed, her musical voice still enthusiastic, but different.

Onyx felt kind of bad, but what could she do!? She knew Jasper knew EXACTLY what she was doing, and she tried to shove off the fact that he always knew what she was feeling, especially since she had the most shifty mood in the house.
When Alice's reply came, she smiled and shot up the stairs and into the Hall, "Whose room?" She asked.

Alice thought about it. "Edward's room is the nicest! Let's go there!" She sang, leading the way.

Jasper knew not to follow. Perhaps it was better that way. He didn't want to make Alice uncomfortable and if his presence did that, he was willing to stay clear of her until she wanted him there again. But he wasn't happy about it and he had no intention of hiding that. At the same time, he wasn't one for sulking: it was hardly befitting. He nodded once, simply but sharply. "See you later, then," he said, quietly and emotionlessly, turning on his heel and walking away to find a new focus for his attention.

Onyx Giggled, "He wont mind will he?" she asked, knowing he wouldn't, but her conscious just couldn't stop playing on her.
